Bahcesehir College defeated Unahotels Reggio Emilia (90-74) to claim their first European trophy
The Turkish team won the second game and dominated on aggregate (162-143) to win the competition. Jamar Smith led all scorers with 17 points while Jamal Jones added 14 in addition to Sam Dekker and Tarik Black’s 12 units. The hosts quickly took the game with a devastating 24-3 lead before the Italians hit back with the next 20 points to take the lead on the night. Bahcesehir came strong to lead by six at the half and quickly reestablished the lead in the third to never let it go.
Jamar Smith (15.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, 4.9 assists) earned himself the Finals MVP awards and gave the 5 year-old club the first trophy in their young existence.
