The Spanish outlets revealed that Pablo Laso, aged 54, started to feel a bit strange Saturday night. He went to the hospital by himself and spent the night under observation. He underwent a cardiac catheterization, a thin plastic tube in his heart. He could be held out from basketball for a long period.
He will be replaced by Chus Mateo, his assistant, who already took the lead of the team while Pablo Laso was tested positive for Covid-19 mid-December. Real Madrid are currently up 2-0 in the ACB playoffs against Baskonia in the semifinal. Third game, on Tuesday.
