Vasilije Micic was out, Fenerbahce took this opportunity to take the lead in this final against the Euroleague champion. This is the remake of last year final, and the Turkish cup final. Nando De Colo’s lost their last 4 games against them before this match.

This series is the last hope for Fenerbahce to get a title this season. A disappointing season in Euroleague with a loosing record, only ten wins in 28 games. A loss during the final of Turkish cup against Anadolu Efes (86-72). Fenerbahce entered this playoffs as the first seed. They have the homecourt advantage for this final, they also got more rest than their opponent. Efes played 11 games the last month, 3 more games than Fenerbahce, who’s got a week of rest before this final.

The duo De Colo-Vesely performed well, the center finished with 17 points and 7 boards in only 9 shots attempts while the frenchman scored 13 points, delivered 7 assists adding 4 steals. On the other side, Rodrigue Beaubois seems to love playing against Fenerbahce as he score 19 points or more during the last three games against them, unfortunately, it wasn’t enough this time. In absence of Micic, Shane Larkin didn’t take the opportunity to shine. He has been really quiet all game long, attempting only five shots and turned the ball over five times. He will have to bounce back in Game 2 to get his team back on track in this series.
