On Friday night, Latvia and Germany joined Finland at the 2023 World Cup. France and Spain took a giant step towards qualification after beating Lithuania and Italy respectively on the road.
A window of 12 matches and great stories. By beating Greece, Latvia validated its ticket for its first World Cup. In the same group, Turkey recovered against Belgium and Serbia defeated Great Britain. Germany, victorious against Finland, is also qualified. Slovenia is on course to take the third ticket in the group after its victory in Israel. And Spain hit a great blow by winning after overtime its duel against Italy.
