The years go by and Dijon play the same beautiful basket. Season after season, the 2021 championship finalist goes higher than its financial means. Despite an overall budget that has never been in the top 8 of the first division – and a record of the largest budget in the history of the club with 5.5 million euros over the season – Nenad Markovic’s team is one of the most beautiful to see on the beginning of the season of Betclic Elite.
It is one of the most consistent in the league: 3rd best offense with 89.3 points average, best 3-point percentage (38.5%), in the top 5 in assists (19.1 per game). And above all, it is the team with the less turnovers (11.3). Considering the statistics and the way of playing, seeing this team among the four seeds for the Leaders Cup is not a surprise.
