The last board of directors of FIBA Europe validated the choice of the four host cities of EuroBasket 2025: Riga, Katowice, Tampere and Limassol.
It is now known the four cities that will host the 42nd edition of the European Championship. As in the three previous editions, four countries will co-host EuroBasket 2025: Cyprus, Poland, Finland and Latvia, which will host a group as well as the final phase.
Meeting on March 17 in Seville, the FIBA Europe Board of Directors approved the choice of Katowice (Poland), Tampere (Finland), Limassol (Cyprus) and Riga (Latvia) as co-hosts for the event.
Note that the next meeting of the Board of Directors of FIBA Europe, from May 18 to 20 in Munich, will determine the successor of Turgay Demirel as President of FIBA Europe for a four-year term (2023-2027). Candidates include FFBB president Jean-Pierre Siutat and Spanish federation president Jorge Garbajosa.
