Cette nuit, à Portland, au Hoop Summit, la « World Select Team » a largement battu la « USA Basketball Junior National Select Team », 89 à 76.

Le Canadien R.J. Barrett (2,01m, 17 ans) a été une fois de plus conquérant avec 20 points à 8/20 aux tirs, 9 rebonds, 6 passes et 5 interceptions alors que dans le camp américain, Bol Bol (2,20m, 18 ans) a totalisé 12 points, 14 rebonds et 6 contres !

Deux Français étaient présents et Jaylen Hoard (2,03m, 19 ans) a cumulé 11 points à 4/10 aux tirs, 15 rebonds et 2 passes en 26 minutes. Bathiste Tchouaffé (1,96m, 19 ans) de Nanterre n’a eu droit qu’à 9 minutes de temps de jeu et s’est contenté de deux points à 1/4 aux tirs.

Jaylen Hoard va entrer à Wake Forest la saison prochaine.
